Burner Management system For De-Ethanizer Fired Heater in GASCO Western Desert Gas Complex Train D Project

Design, implementation and supply of Burner Management system, consisting of two independent subsystems as follow:

NOVARGI GASCO De-ethanizer Fired Heater Burner Management System (BMS)

NOVARGI, a leader in process technology for the oil & gas industry, was tasked with the critical De-ethanizer Fired Heater for the GASCO Western Desert Gas Complex. Partnering with MISC, they implemented a state-of-the-art, safety-certified Burner Management System (BMS) to ensure the highest levels of operational safety and control integrity for the fired heater operation.

Project Scope

  • Design and supply of a dual-tiered safety system: a Control BMS (BMS-C) for operational sequencing and a Safety BMS (BMS-S) for personnel and equipment protection.
  • Implementation of two separate, high-availability redundant Siemens S7-400FH controllers; the BMS-C certified for SIL2 and the BMS-S certified for SIL3.
  • Supply of distributed I/O stations using Siemens ET200M technology with redundant and simplex fail-safe modules, comprehensive intrinsic safety (IS) barriers, and a TP1500 Comfort HMI for local monitoring.
  • Provision of a full engineering workstation, comprehensive software engineering, and extensive FAT services.
