Design, installation and commissioning of SCADA & PLC- based systems.
ARAB CONTRACTORS commissioned MISC to deliver a high-availability automation solution for the critical Ain Shams Sewage Pumping Station extension. The project required a fault-tolerant control system to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of pumping units and associated electrical systems, managing sewage flow for the community without interruption.
• Design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a complete, redundant Siemens S7-400H PLC system.
• Supply of electrical enclosures for the main controller and distributed ET200M I/O racks for all Phase I equipment, including six pumps, LV/HV switchboards, and generators.
• Implementation of a robust SCADA system with a redundant server, a 40″ client workstation, and a local 12″ HMI for operator control.
• Establishment of a redundant ring-topology Industrial Ethernet network for maximum communication reliability.
• Supply and integration of key field instrumentation, including an electromagnetic flow meter and radar level transmitters.
• Implementation of a high-availability, hot-standby S7-400H architecture, ensuring zero control loss and maximum uptime for the critical infrastructure.
• Enhanced system diagnostics and “hot-swappable” I/O modules for reduced maintenance downtime and easier troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive operator oversight through both a central SCADA system and a local HMI, providing flexibility and redundancy in control access.
• A future-ready platform designed to accommodate the planned Phase II expansion.
MISC provided a turnkey, mission-critical automation system that guaranteed the reliable and efficient operation of the Ain Shams Pumping Station extension. The solution empowered ARAB CONTRACTORS with a robust, fault-tolerant control platform, ensuring the station’s vital public service operates seamlessly and with minimal risk of disruption.
