The Eastern Company, a leader in Egypt’s tobacco industry, entrusted MISC to design and implement a state-of-the-art SCADA system for its electrical power station. This project was key to enhancing reliability, efficiency, and real-time monitoring of the company’s critical power infrastructure.

Project Scope

• Design and development of a Control & SCADA system for the power station
• Monitoring and control of 11/0.4 kV, 10 MVA electrical distribution network
• Integration of power meters for both medium and low voltage systems

System Highlights

• Monitoring and control of 4 transformer sets (11/0.4 kV, 2.5 MVA each)
• Feeder circuit breakers supervision and control
• Integration of 4 backup generators (2.5 MVA / 11 kV each) for full redundancy and power security
• Real-time measurement of all electrical quantities through Siemens power meters
• SCADA implementation with trending, alarms, and event logging for predictive and preventive maintenance

By deploying a fully integrated power monitoring and control solution, MISC enabled the Eastern Company to achieve greater operational reliability, energy efficiency, and seamless continuity of production – reinforcing its position as a market leader.
