ETHYDCO required a specialized solution to enhance the robustness and availability of its Profibus fieldbus network. MISC was tasked with the design, supply, and integration of custom-built coupler panels to seamlessly integrate into the existing automation infrastructure.
• Supply of 5 Custom Junction Panels: Fabrication of IP66-rated electrical enclosures designed to house and protect Profibus Y-Link modules.
• Complete Panel Assembly: Full panel building service, including internal wiring, installation of Y-Link modules, Profibus connectors, and power distribution components (fuses, terminals).
• Ancillary Materials: Supply of 200 meters of Profibus cable to ensure proper network connectivity.
• On-Site Supervision: Deployment of MISC technical personnel for a 2-day period to supervise the installation and integration of the panels into the live system.
• Enhanced Network Reliability: Implementation of Y-Links provides network segmentation and redundancy, increasing overall Profibus network availability and simplifying troubleshooting.
• Robust Field Enclosures: IP66 protection ensures the critical network components are shielded from harsh industrial environments, dust, and moisture.
• Seamless System Integration: Expert panel building and on-site supervision guaranteed correct installation and compatibility with ETHYDCO’s existing control systems.
