Veolia Arab El-Madabegh STP Comprehensive Automation System
Veolia, a global leader in optimized resource management, partnered with MISC to implement a complete, state-of-the-art automation solution for the Arab El-Madabegh Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The project involved the design and supply of a fully integrated control system to ensure efficient, reliable, and centralized monitoring and control of the complex treatment processes across the entire plant.
Project Scope
- Design, supply, and testing of four Local Control Panels (LCPs) for distributed plant areas, each housing an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC and a PanelView Plus 7 HMI.
- Supply and configuration of a central SCADA system, including a server, client workstation, 80-inch display, and engineering laptop, all running on FactoryTalk View SE software.
- Establishment of a robust plant network using managed Ethernet switches and 1450 meters of fiber optic cable for seamless communication.
- Provision of UPS systems for all LCPs and the SCADA room to ensure 90 minutes of backup power.
