GSK Production Line PLC & HMI Upgrades

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, entrusted MISC with upgrading multiple production line machines at its facilities in Egypt. The objective was to replace obsolete control systems with modern automation platforms, ensuring reliability, compliance, and long-term maintainability.

Project Scope

  •  Upgrade of various machines and production lines, including filling machines, Lytzen ovens, Bohle mixers, NERI labelling machine, and coating machines
  • Replacement of Siemens S5 PLCs and old HMIs with modern Siemens S7-300 PLCs and Simatic HMI panels
  •  Integration of new automation components directly into the existing panels after demolition of legacy systems
